Terms of Service

1. Purpose
These Terms govern your use of GitTeam ("the Service"), an open-source GitHub project review platform. They describe the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of users and the operator.
2. Definitions
- User: Anyone accessing the Service
- Member: A user who has signed in via GitHub OAuth
- Content: Any submission by a member (reviews, votes, reports, feedback, etc.)
3. Effect and Changes
These Terms take effect when published on the Service. Material changes are announced at least 7 days before taking effect.
4. Service Scope
The Service provides the following features free of charge:
- Browsing public GitHub repos and their metadata/statistics
- Writing recommend / not-recommend reviews
- Voting on the helpfulness of other members' reviews
- Favorite repo lists, optional AI analysis, and feedback submission
5. User Obligations
Users must not:
- Impersonate others or provide false information
- Post content that is abusive, discriminatory, defamatory, obscene, violent, or infringes on others' rights
- Engage in spam, advertising, or disruptive behavior
- Use automation to exhaust operational resources
- Attempt to exploit or bypass service vulnerabilities
6. Content
- Copyright of reviews and feedback belongs to the author. The Service may use such content non-exclusively for operation, display, and caching.
- Content may be hidden or removed when reported by 5 or more distinct users, or at the operator's discretion.
- Authors may edit or delete their own content at any time. Hidden content is locked from edits to preserve evidence.
7. Restrictions and Sanctions
Violations accumulate over a 90-day rolling window (only admin-confirmed hide/purge actions count):
- 1st: Warning
- 2nd: 7-day restriction on reviews, votes, reports, feedback
- 3rd+: Permanent ban
8. Disclaimer
- The Service relies on public data from GitHub and other APIs. The operator is not liable for outages, delays, or policy changes caused by third parties.
- Reviews and feedback reflect the opinions of individual authors and are not endorsed or verified by the operator.
- The operator is not liable for damages caused by force majeure or by the user's own fault.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
